I used to pop 4- 10 antacids daily but I’ve managed to get that down to 0 – 2 tablets with my regimen. This has made a huge improvement for me:
Try taking a probiotic before each meal and a digestive enzyme after a meal. (containing Betamine HCl + pepsin+ papaya extract) Also, try drinking some marshmellow root tea (found @ the local natural foods/healing store) and some aloe vera juice to soothe the symptoms.

I suffer from AR and developed a stomach ulcer. After that was place on Protonix = Omeprazol or Prilozec (which i’m not a fan of).
I felt fantastic with the protonix, but I slowly got off of it as I started taking: A Probiatic before meals with organic vitamins.
Aloe mixed with Mango Juice preferably NATURALLY MADE( mango and papaya juice are fantastic and sooth your stomach) Papaya enzimes chewables are incredible too.
PS: I will start cabbage with banana which are knowng to heal ulcers and AR.

Anything with tomato sauce will trigger acid reflux, and waking up with those symptoms certainly sound like Acid Reflux. Hope you visited a Gastroenterologist or do ASAP.

How does aloe vera juice taste like?
16 WittyToo33 // Apr 11, 2009 at 1:41 am
Hi BklynJayL and pickupz,
Sorry for the late answer. Yes the Cabbage and banana work. Papaya enzymes, mango juice, papaya fruit and pineapple (test to see if pineapple works for you with a couple of chunks first)
Aloe vera juice tastes like grape juice (I know I was shocked to) it is really excellent if you are ok with natural juices.

Really, I am not sure since V8 is wonderful for you. I’d search about it or question your “doctor” or drink it with food.
I have really found that fresh tomato in salads doesn’t hurt my stomach (that’s me though), AND pasta with tomato sauce or anythign were tomatoes were cooked used to give me massive heart burn. Like I said a visit to the GastroE wont hurt you either.

Oh, ok. Really…, I like all of those fruits that, you just mentioned. It’s just that, over the last couple of years…, I kinda veird of into a terrible diet(in which, I regret)! Lol.. For about a year, now…, I have switch to a more low cholesterol/ low calorie diet…but, I can’t seem to shake the acid indigestion unitl, I came across natural remedies that, works for acid indigestion/reflux. I’m going to try more of those things you mentioned to improve my conditions.
Thanks!

Well, I guess if, you don’t have acid reflux/indigestion…, I reckon, tomatoes won’t bother you but, I read, tomatoes can trigger acid reflux if, too much is consumed at one time so. I kinda’ cut back on that to see what happens. I’m also taking a lot of other fruit and, vegetables that, helps against acid reflux. I don’t wake up to it but, it comes and, goes threw out the day, u kno?! I guess what you’re saying is, it’s better to eat fresh tomatoes…rather than, cooked tomatoes?
Thanks!

you should get to the docotor because the acid can cause cancer in your esophagus later!
