But their behavior doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with you, and you can choose to interpret it differently. Maybe they had a fight with their significant other. Maybe their car broke down. Maybe they’re sick. Their behavior doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with you or your friendship.
Rewriting dread is such a powerful tool that people who are practiced in it can use it to turn nearly any negative-seeming situation into a positive one. By exploring alternative interpretations of the situation (by rewriting your dread) your dread will fade as you see all the brighter possibilities inherent in the situation.
